Edge AI on NVIDIA Jetson
Develop and optimize AI models for real-time, privacy-preserving applications on edge devices.
Private AI on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
Design and implement scalable, secure AI infrastructure for enterprise applications.
AI Code Generation Platform
Build an intelligent developer assistant that generates, reviews, and optimizes code across multiple languages.
Hybrid AI Deployment for Anomaly Detection and Insights
Combine classical machine learning with large language models to detect anomalies, forecast performance, and generate actionable insights.
Details: These six-month projects are supervised by international experts in AI and wireless technologies and provide the opportunity to work on systems with global impact. Position 1: Senior ML Engineer - Predictive Analytics & Forecasting
Role Overview: SmartAvatar B.V. is seeking an experienced ML Engineer specializing in predictive analytics and demand forecasting to build production-ready machine learning models for order management optimization in the retail/e-commerce domain.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deploy time-series forecasting models using Prophet for order volume prediction across multiple channels (web, mobile, marketplace, retail)
- Build XGBoost models for fulfillment performance prediction and delivery time estimation
- Implement Isolation Forest models for real-time anomaly detection in order patterns
- Design and implement feature engineering pipelines for time-series and categorical variables
- Deploy models to AWS SageMaker with automated retraining capabilities
- Conduct model evaluation, hyperparameter tuning, and performance optimization
- Set up model monitoring and performance tracking systems
Position 2: ML Engineer - Forecasting & Performance Optimization
Role Overview: Join SmartAvatar B.V. to build advanced machine learning models for order fulfillment optimization and performance prediction in high-volume retail environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop predictive models for fulfillment rate forecasting and bottleneck identification
- Build carrier performance and delivery time estimation models
- Implement channel-specific forecasting models (website, mobile, marketplace, in-store)
- Create anomaly detection systems for fulfillment exceptions and system performance issues
- Design model retraining pipelines with performance monitoring
- Collaborate on feature store setup and management
- Support integration of ML models with dashboard visualization layer
Position 3: AWS Data Platform Engineer - Streaming & AI Integration
Role Overview: SmartAvatar B.V. needs an experienced AWS Data Platform Engineer to design and implement complete data infrastructure for AI-powered predictive analytics platforms, including MCP server integration, streaming data pipelines, and LLM integration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Integrate with client MCP servers and APIs for data extraction
- Design and implement data ingestion pipelines (batch and streaming)
- Build ETL workflows using AWS Glue for feature engineering
- Set up AWS SageMaker infrastructure including Feature Store and Model Registry
- Implement AWS Bedrock integration with Claude LLM for conversational AI capabilities
- Design data lake architecture in S3 with proper partitioning and lifecycle management
- Build Lambda functions for event-driven processing and LLM prompt engineering
- Set up DynamoDB for conversation history and context management
- Implement API Gateway for backend communication and routing
- Configure EventBridge for scheduled model retraining triggers
- Establish monitoring and observability with Datadog integration
General Requirements (for both positions):
- English level: Conversational (must) – able to join and participate in daily meetings
- Working hours: 10 hours/day (3:00 PM – 1:00 AM Bangladesh time) with 1 hour break

Building the Core Launch Team: UX | Marketing | Outreach

Project Description
Bånded is a civic-tech platform tackling street harassment and underreporting through community-driven reporting, alerts, and visibility. Born from personal experience and launched under the SmartAvatar venture studio, Bånded empowers people to map safety concerns, support one another, and make public spaces more inclusive.
We are forming our core team of 3 interns to support the 0-to-10 launch of Bånded. You will work closely with the founder on campaigns, outreach, user feedback, and growth strategy. The roles have clear focus areas but operate collaboratively — everyone contributes to launching a product from the ground up.
1. UX Research & Product Intern
Focus: User insights, product feedback, coordination with the dev team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct user interviews and usability tests.
- Map user journeys and synthesize feedback.
- Track feature suggestions and issues via Notion or Figma.
- Benchmark UX practices from similar platforms.
- Coordinate testing and UX improvements with the dev team.
Required Experience:
- Some prior work in user research or design thinking.
- Familiarity with tools like Figma, Notion, or Miro.
- Analytical and clear communication skills.
2. Social Media & Content Marketing Intern
Focus: Content creation, digital storytelling, Instagram/LinkedIn strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, write, and post weekly content (stories, reels, carousels).
- Maintain visual identity (using Canva or templates).
- Capture and edit media from real-world campaigns.
- Monitor analytics and grow engagement.
- Help build Bånded’s brand voice and presence.
Required Experience:
- Prior experience running or creating content for a brand or organization.
- Strong writing and visual design instincts.
- Comfortable with tools like Canva, InShot, or CapCut.
- Familiarity with social growth strategies.
3. Community Outreach & Partnerships Intern
Focus: On-the-ground campaigns, stakeholder outreach, partnerships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and contact relevant NGOs, municipalities, and student orgs.
- Organize and participate in street-level interviews and activations.
- Track outreach efforts and follow-ups (Notion).
- Assist with partnership building and sponsorship leads.
- Coordinate poster campaigns, pilot testing, and events.
Required Experience:
- Background in outreach, sales, or organizing events.
- Confidence in speaking to people and initiating contact.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Bonus if fluent in Dutch and English.

Description
The research aims to design capabilities of real-time DTs to enable the trustworthy and reliable collection of data from millions of sensors in support of smart system optimisation, and also to demonstrate a PoC implementation of the digital cyber twin and its real-time responsiveness. To ensure that sensor data communications with the DT have not been tampered with and that the compute process is secure, a Zero Trust Data security model is proposed.
